Is it me or are drivers out there getting worse. A trip to wales and back today, I lost count of the times I had to apply the brakes to avoid being hit. Middle lane hoggers, and last minute exiters off the motorway.. glad I've invested in a dash cam!

Whilst I would agree that driving standards seem to have fallen, I sometimes wonder if it is my attitude to blame on occasions where I think 'they' have been particularly bad.

I try to give myself plenty of time for the journey, drive defensively, anticipate others, and just smile to myself when I see someone getting something a little wrong. We've all done it.

A few weeks ago some women pulled out in front of me, and it was a pretty close one. I obviously made some mad gesture to which she opened her window and shouted "I pressed the wrong peddle ok"! Really😳

I think there's a lot of truth in this. I notice poor driving standards far more when I'm running late or in a rush myself. I think it reduces my tolerance for the generally crap driving standards that are always out there.

There is an element of us being in a rush but a lot of driving i see is just a simple case of it being poor driving and me wondering if they passed a test , i am always polite and indicate and don't cut people up , we all did a driving test so no excuse , if you do get it wrong at least say sorry it's a good start

Those hesitating are on their way to Monkfish and those on a mission have just had their cars upgraded there and want to 'see what it can do.' biggrin

I wonder if they have had a British driving test?

Lane discipline on our motorways is pathetic, especially the middle lane wkers! And yes, even some of our "Kings of the Road" (Heavy goods drivers) are a bit slow to get back into the driving lane. Make you wonder what they are concentrating on?
