A quick question, will 05 spec Monaro VXR front and rear disc's fit an 05 Monaro CV8.
There only seems to be a small difference in diameter in the disc, and the brake calipers look the same. I did look at old threads but couldn't find a answer.

Thanks John

The VXR should be 330mm front and 315mm on the back. DBA part numbers - DBA4049S DBA4048S
The last of the VZ Monaro had 320mm front and 286mm on the back. DBA2020S DBA2021S (the 4000 T3 series of them are DBA42020S and DBA42021S)
Most of these are available on the Clark motorsport site if you put the numbers in. The DBA2020S and DBA42020S have a large price difference as they do down here. The 4000 and 5000 series are their fancier products.
From what I read elsewhere the back discs wont fit. The fronts not sure.
According to the Bendix website, the pads are the same from the VXR and the last VZ Monaro. DB7599 and DB1332. https://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/7696#
https://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/223820#
Bendix Ultimate pads DB7599ULT and DB1332ULT Whilst they are dusty, they work well.
In OZ there is QFM pads which are supposed to be good for the money.
Early on in the piece (ie a long time ago), the DBA discs didn't get along with the EBC pads.
Looks like the Clark website has Hawk pads from the US but I am not sure of their numbering convention. They look all the same size to be honest, as they are for the Pontiac GTO, same brakes as the VZ Monaro. HB247 for the front and HB573 for the back but then you have to add which flavour you want!

The front calipers are definitely NOT the same, threfore it would be safe to assume that the VXR disc won't fit in a facelift CV8 caliper. The 330mm VXR discs cost significantly more than the 320mm CV8 ones, so why would you want to bother?

I would say not, I asked Roger from MF the same question and he said not worth it for the extra few mm. On the plus side it frees up some cash to spend elsewhere

Thank's steve2568]

If Roger say's it's not worth the effort, then that;s good enough for me. Back to the drawing board!
