Monaro vxr brake lines
Discussion
Do you mean just the flexible lines, or the hard lines? You'd be mad not to get braided lines if you didn't have them already if you're thinking about the hard lines. Also, for hard lines get something that doesn't corrode, not steel again!
I've had mine done inexpensively, but as part of a load of work refreshing lots of bits - sorry, I can't give you a price.

I would expect to have all the hard lines replaced will cost a few quid to say the least!, I believe you have to drop the rear sub frame and align the rear end when you're finished. You might as well have the fuel lines done as at the same time.
Still, if it needs doing use only the very best part's and be done with it.
Look at it this way, It's going to be a lot cheaper than a crash.

I had the exhaust, propshaft, engine and gearbox out anyway - I don't remember dropping the rear subframe for the hard lines, but you might be right (I wasn't around for all of that job).Still, if it needs doing use only the very best part's and be done with it.

I made up the replacement fuel lines with AN fittings, which added up to ~£100 in fittings! The fuel filter wasn't cheap either (funny size, 3/8" outlets where most GM are 5/16" IIRC).

I've had an advisory for brake lines on my MOT too. Looking online, I found HEL do braided lines for the VXR. Anyone know if these would fit the CV8 too?
I take it you only need the rubber brake pipes replaced? I'm sure HEL do make a kit for the CV8, but I have no idea of the price. Don't forget you will need six pipes in total. If your MOT has pointed out rust on the hard brake lines, I suspect you will be out of luck with HEL.
If in doubt about fitment, get them from Monkfish, at least then you know they will fit.
I have a '05 CV8 Monaro and was looking for braided lines last year, Monkfish don't stock them for CV8. Please feel free to ask Monkfish (good people).
I found out that AAS of Newcastle had a set of 6 Russell braided lines designed for the American Pontiac GTO (Monaro) of the same year, a perfect fit.
Check this thread, particularly the the last item on 21st October '16.
Don't go for HEL, I nearly did. Unless the design has change, they don't make the CV8 braided lines. The VXR won't fit and the HEL don't have the support bracket needed for the fronts.
