AC compressor Monaro LS2 VXR

I think my AC condenser has a hole in it, well theres a greasy mark on it, is it to be expected the compressor will be knackered also with no refrigerant present for some time? I only ask as I had same on astra I owned previously

No it should be fine, I asked a similar question on the FB pages and was told the compressor will cut out if insufficient pressure in the system.
Happy to be corrected if that's incorrect, I too think I need a condenser let me know if you find where to get them but get a pressure test with dye done first
