Replacement Vxr8 key

I have lost one of my keys and need to order a replacement.
I don't have the key code as it is a 2nd hand car and it wasn't with the documentation

Can I order a key from Vauxhall with the original codes and will it work?

Or do I need to order key and codes from Vauxhall and get it all set up at a dealer?

If it needs a dealer to help, can anyone recommend one near Glasgow?

I understand that the Vauxhall dealers who can do VXR8 keys have to go through Walkinshaw Performance to get them done, so you may as well just cut out the middle man and give Walkinshaw Performance a call directly yourself.

Appreciate Walkinshaw are nowhere near Glasgow, not sure what options there are if any do have the key done remotely. It might be possible.

Just for info, Walkinshaw can do the key for £170, but key and car need to go to vxr8 dealer to get coded.

My nearest dealer is 100 miles away in Glasgow, they are asking £400 , before vat, for the job.

Humbug!! Looks like a day in Glasgow and about £500 lin all.

Don't think I will ever misplace a key again.
