and ended comming up the road to bonnie scotland with gen f build 24
if im being trully honest the hardest thing for me was letting my silver r8 go ,after all the time money and effort id put into her,she really is such a nice car,,,but once i got my cheeks in this beast ,wow!
have to say meeting james and seeing his set-up and all his hsv eye candy on show put my mind at ease very quickly,,so so pleasant,,
james knows his stuff and answered more or less everything i asked,,(which was quite alot) , me and the g/f enjoyed looking around his display cars,,,free coffee too ,,lol
however its stil a big decision spending this kinda bucks on a car,,,
but if im honest the car sold itself after a test drive,,, james might have a lil more grey hair now tho lol,,and i still managed to haggle with him wen we come back lol
so all in all very happy jock here,,
no plans for the car other than to enjoy her and keep her minted,

The Walkinshaw 3-inch exhaust system works quite nicely too, although I doubt the neighbours would agree with me wink

Very Nice Gen F Craig, you will be smitten, lots of stuff to get used too in the cab, unsure what tyres you have but think about getting rid of the continentals for the Michelins

Hi Paul,,,funny thing that,if I was to do anything at all it would be to upgrade the exhaust,,I haven't had too much time to play around with her, been too busy with work , but in sport mode the bi- modal opens up a bit (I take it that's her at her loudest in sport mode?) But still rather muted imo,
the choons from my r8 with its wortec were much better,, so will see
yeah snowolf it's the continental s that are on her atm,,,should see the summer out on them (or Maybee not lol),,and will have a look at tyre options,,
any particular reason you reckon the michelin are better?

MPSS last longer, are quieter, have better grip and are generally better all round. Got a photo somewhere of my blue one next to yours and also a tunnel run vid which I will try and dig out. In sport, performance and track modes, the bimodal exhaust is open at idle, closes again off idle and re-opens at 4000rpm. I will try and dig out how you can set it to be permanently open as it works differently to mine.

The bi model is crap on these cars, in Tour mode the exhaust is quite and steering is nice and light, pop it into sport, performance or track and the bi modal opens up and the steering goes heavy, trouble is the bi modal shuts off at anything above 2000 rpm, how stupid!!! just pop the engine cover off and on the left side towards the front of the engine you will see a little black non return valve on a black plastic pipe, just pull the non return valve out of the plastic pipe and turn it around, the exhaust will stay loud in any setting on the sports dial.

I am at the moment modifying the standard Bi Modal rear silencer to be louder in loud mode but still have the option to go quiet on a remote control inside the car.

Unfortunately, your bimodal is electric not vacuum operated like the earlier models, think there is a fuse that can be pulled though. The actuators are in the rear box.
