My CV8 throws a very intermittent fault code which shows n error on fuel bank 1 and 2 together, this will sometimes show on live data on my limited reader. The car drives fine with no issues and the fault clears next time its started and driven sometimes not showing again for a couple of weeks.

The car has developed a slight misfire, plugs are all 20k old so should be ok and I have a new set of Magnacors to fit this week, any ideas on what the problem may be would be appreciated

is it coming up as a cel on a code reader or does it just flash up on the dash and you push set or mode on the trip computer and it goes away , if it's a dash thing that is not unusual i have had that on mine before with no issues , have you plugged it in and seen it 02 sensors are working as they should ? i changed mine at less than a 70£ for both they were from Aus , two different types of plugs for the 02 sensors square or oblong , the misfire could just be the leads again not unusual they some times break with little warning , i changed them on both cars got them from MF

It is throwing up a CEL and i have had a problem with the n/s post cat O2 after road debris split the connection block. It was put back together at MWP who say the fault shouldnt read both banks from a malfunctioning single sensor.
I was just wondering if its something common on these and if so what the cause may be.
Leads go on Thursday or Friday

the 02 sensors are known to throw up errors and still be ok to use , they seem to have very limited effect on the engine , i had a code reader that told me the voltage mine were getting old and not working that well so they were changed and on changing them the pick up was slightly better but other than that no change , mine as above came up on the dash once or twice and trip button pushed and they went away , it's not happened since i changed them , your error could very easily be the damaged plug , don't run the car low on fuel as that can put it on too i believe , i would check the voltage to see if they are working if not then change them as they are not that much to buy , i think mine were on ebay au i won't have the link as it was a while ago , but o2 sensors are known to play up bound to be more info on them when searching on google or here

All changed, misfire appears sorted and ticking over nicely. The ones that came off were AC Delco with reds leads and aluminium shrouds, I'm assuming these were the original leads?
