New to Monaro ownership
Discussion
After many years of dreaming of owning a Monaro, a change in circumstances has allowed me to finally get one!
A trip to James @ Elite and a deal was done, and I'm now the proud owner of:
She's only done 60k, and I added another 300 miles to that when I collected it yesterday!
Still grinning from ear to ear
I'm in Herne Bay, Kent - I know a few of you are down this way, so look forward to meeting up with some of you over the summer.
I do have one question, she is completely standard and I want to make her a little noisier - what is the best way to go about that?
Thanks,
Andy

Mine has a full Wortec system on, I think the choice for me is between them and Walkinshaw if you want a decent system. You tube has lots of vids of each failing that I am happy to send you one via email.
As another poster said once you start with the mods it may get expensive but will defo make you smile more

Welcome to the madhouse
With regards to exhausts - Wortec is probably the best option and as you have a CV8 you should really look at the complete system rather than just a catback.
The early CV8's really benefit from replacing the cast headers (VXR 'shorty' headers are the cheapest option) and a remap. You'll see a good bhp gain.
Keep us posted!

I have had mine 7 years now and still love it,in my opinion a wortec is mandatory as is AP brakes that is the only mods I have done.
i would add rip shifter, and rear end and road response pack to that. Just gives everything a nice tight feeling and much more positive. Especially the sloppy change they come with as standard.wozzza said:

so new owner needs to find £8k already and only joined today
preciousmetal mod list plus the 3.9 diff , mines had and not all by me around 12k £ spent on it , but it's now a very different car and i'm not looking to do any more now , often if you up the power the brakes need doing , 3.9 diff is a good mod to do and has little effect on mpg , the 3.9 is more noticeable than a remap
