Door open sensor

I know this has been posted before, however I couldn't find a definitive answer. My r8 keeps saying a door is open when it's not, interior light stays on and the dash light stays on. Don't know 100 percent what door it is, definitely not the drivers though. Any solution to this? My main issue is the fact it beeps 3 times when you lock it. Any way of stopping the car beeping at you? Other issues related it it don't really bother me as much.

I think the 3 beeps are telling you some thing not closed right and in this situation I dont think the alarm is set when you are thinking it is, I dont have a R8 so wait for others to answer.

I had this exact same problem with the 3 beeps when I was locking my cv8 a few years ago.

I can't remember exactly, but it was either a lazy door lock motor or a relay. I've replaced one of each for the door on 2 separate problems many months apart, but can't remember which was which.

Either way, The Fish had each problem sorted in no time. If you can't get to them, perhaps give them a call for the benefit of their wisdom.

Hello mate, i did think I replied to you! Must have no posted it. Currently it's being good and hasn't played up at all. It's really temperamental. If it crops up again I'm going to Phone fish and see what they suggest
