I drove VXR8 number 1 back to its new home on my driveway this evening. Not sure if I caught a tear or two of sadness in ringram's eyes as I rumbled away from his house.
First impressions revolve around how fast it revs for a 7-litre motor and how easily I stall it. The super light flywheel means blipping the throttle frightens the wife and makes my dog bark (they're both inside the house). My neighbours have already started a petition to have a noise asbo raised against me if I dare using it for work (6am).
I'm going to have to get used to driving it. Big car, tiny wing mirrors, massive boot spoiler, heavy clutch (second spring will have to go) and daft amounts of torque all add up to a tough drive on dark, damp roads.
Looking forward to taking it out for a run on a sunny day. Thanks Richard

Well done mate, is that the end for the Monaro project on your drive then? I will trade up for a VXR8 sometime in the future but still happy with the CV8 for now, have fun First impressions revolve around how fast it revs for a 7-litre motor and how easily I stall it. Yes - that engineless Monaro VXR on my driveway will be going on eBay, along with its V5. It's rust free and I'm fairly sure that the mileage is low, so it would be a great platform for someone with a knackered or leggy CV8. A bit of 'spannering' and suddenly you're in a VXR. I figure the a shell plus V5 (minus wheels and body-kit) is only worth a few hundred quid, so it should go quite quickly.

Hello Arnie, send me a picture of the shell please.

Will have to keep an eye out for you, or should that be an ear out for you, as I think you're in my neighbourhood First impressions revolve around how fast it revs for a 7-litre motor and how easily I stall it.
