Harrop Superchargers
Discussion
I'm after some information on the Harrop blowers that were used on a few Monaros, and maybe some VXR8s.
I have an 'LS112' Charger fitted to my 5.7 LS1, but I can't find a huge amount out about it in terms of routine maintenance, parts etc.
From scouring info and pictures, I have come to the conclusion that it is (most likely) an Eaton unit and should be very similar to the M112 Eaton unit as a result, but I'm not sure exactly on this.
I believe some later Harrop items were LS122 for the 6.0s?
Anyway, mine has developed a slight rattle, noticeable at idle, which doesn't sound too bad nor like anything terminal, and research has suggested it could be a Coupler underneath the snout - effectively a plastic ring that couples the snout drive to the rotor gears.
I'd like to source a replacement part so that I can look at the existing item and be able to change it if it is worn - Eaton M112 items can be sourced with relative ease.
So if anyone can advise on what the LS112 actually is and point me in the direction of any useful information, that would be brilliant and much appreciated!
