I know the seller and know what he wants for it and it's silly money - £15k+ as it's owes him £20k
Hmm, always hard to value, but 15k doesn't sound stupid for such a car if its in seriously good nick. A good E34 m5 would be going for far more, and I know which I prefer.£20k sounds a challenge. Many sellers seem to think what a car owes them is relevant to its market value... As ever it down to what someone is prepared to pay.
I can vouch for the diff as I built it. It now has a Monaro housing and 3.46 gears as opposed to the 3.91 ones it came with from the factory.I have the original for it which has the Hydratrac LSD and an 80 mm pinion bearing.
Its value would be better if it was original spec IMHO, but should make £12500 as it is. Wonder where the original bonnet is?

To answer the questions.
Yes 002 was mine. I bought it in 2004 with 17k miles on the clock. Its a VX one model later than the VT2. First register in April 2002 and one of only 2 in the UK. Name Plate 002UK. I sold it to the present owner in Feb 2014. It had approx 56k miles when I sold it so 68k should be correct.
I would suggest the receipts mentioned were incurred by me during the 10 years of ownership including the mods and engine re-built.
The first job I did was under-body protection so it should be sound.
Unfortunately the original bonnets was damaged when fitting the Supercharger.
The wheels have been changed so he may have the originals.
I also heard the clutch had been burnt out so it must have been replaced.
It lives in the NE of Scotland and would have been garaged.
And yes I'm tempted but have nowhere to keep it.
