LSX376 B15 etc
Discussion
As it was mentioned in another thread...may as well post up some links.
It does seem to be a solid performer.

Whilst reading that, I discovered this http://www.lsxmag.com/features/sema-coverage/sema-...
I have always planned to go with a Whipple, and with the Camaro bonnet scoop, it should also fit...

You'd end up with an LS9 rotating assembly if you used the LS9 rods, as the sizes are unique in the GM product range. That would be far more expensive, putting the bargain basement LSX376 into a different price bracket. I've also read that these titanium rods aren't well suited to very high boost set-ups, which is what people wants to do with the LSX motor.
I still wonder how far the LSA pistons will go, as they're hyper-pathetic rather than forged.

Titanium rods are a waste of money really, unless for some reason you really must have the lightest components.I still wonder how far the LSA pistons will go, as they're hyper-pathetic rather than forged.
They serve no real performance benefit though in the real world
As for pistons, as long as the piston is a good design, too much power is rarely a cause of piston failure.
A factory forged piston will always be a good place to start. It's probably the best place to start as rods and blocks rarely break. A friend picked up a set of ls9 pistons for $100 in the summer. They're on his shelf. I wish I'd seen them first!
As for 'to much power' I agree with that statement. I've never seen a piston squashed or seized form high power levels. They'll break if the tune, fuel or spark is wrong though.
