Was under the Monaro VXR today and spotted a very rusty p/s pipe! Looks very brittle.

Does anyone know the OEM part number, or what the Holden recommended grade of p/s fluid is?

04 LS1 and 05 LS2 I believe are slightly different monkfish told me they were struggling to get the 05 ones when I needed one but the 04 can be made to fit.
I ordered one from ebay.au kelpro HPS088 that was a direct fit for my LS2 VXR

Odd, the thought did cross my mind, but I figured if MF say it works for a VZ commodore...should have checked.

I did mine recently - seems a common failure point.

Mine decided to let go and had to get it trailered home. Monkfish sell the 04 high pressure pipe with a compression joint.
I have the 05 Monaro and had to cut the original pipe from the pump and fitted the joint and new pipe with no problems.

Checked mine recently. The one that goes under the crank pulley is the important one as its on the high pressure side of the circuit. Luckily mine wasn't too bad I just rubbed off and treated some of the surface corrosion then wrapped some rubber hose around then filled with grease and tie wrapped it. Call it a preventative measure if you want smile
On the hand the one that runs to the cooler was completely knackered, as was the cooler. But as it's on the low pressure side I just replaced the cooler and replaced the pipe with some hose and new clips where it attaches to the resevoir.
