Monaro Spark Plug Boots
Discussion
Hello all,
I'm looking for some advise on spark plug protector boots, I have installed some 1"7/8 long tubes and the plugs/leads now run very close to the exhaust, so I'm looking for some advise on which are the ones to go for.
I have had a look on Summit Racing and there are hundreds to choose from, any advise/experiences would be much appreicated.
Thanks in advance

As long as they're made of the correct material they'll be fine, doesn't really matter which ones you use mine still melt through one of the leads every 5000 miles or so, I keep spare leads in the boot
Which headers and wires? The MSD wires can be bent part way up the connector to help clearance.IN my experience running some of the 'titanium' ones from Summit, the main thing the boots achieve is to remove the air gap between the header and the plug boot, and instead ensure that it is fully in contact with the header, meaning they melt through even quicker...
The first couple of leads lasted about 5 years before degrading enough to cause firing issues.
The set with the boots over didn't last 5 months.
