Beware!I think I played this on my last laptop and the exhaust sound blew-up the lappy's speakers!
There's a big difference between the standard and extra lumpy cam. I've got the standard one with a wortec and it sounds like this: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/63892811@N00/2843869...

Myself and MrCV8 have had the cam pack max extra fitted. If you look up my thread 'my cv8' and MrCV8's thread 'Christmas came early' I think, we've both posted videos of how they sound, or you can find loads on YouTube (I think MrCV8's is on YouTube)
I've found your thread but the video link seems to be broken. I can't find MrCV8's thread Phillphill said:
Very nice, exactly the sound I'm looking for. I read that if you go too far you can have trouble with mot emissions. Where did you get yours? In my honest opinion having spent a long time reading and looking into cams the Ones that are worth the money (power) in my view won't pass emissions. What's the point in spending a fair chunk of money on fitting (if you can't yourself) mapping and the parts, whilst you have it apart you may as well change the oil pump, and include for pushrods, springs, cam, seals and gaskets etc
If you are after the noise and power, I'm childish so wanted a choppy cam, then simply accept that your won't pass emmisons. It certainly isn't the end of the world to find a MOTer that will
My ls2 monaro with 100 cell cats and had been previously mapped only used to just scrap emissions anyway
Mine is a SI5 cam from Speed Inc in the states and is ground by comp cams

I suppose it depends where you're trying to gain power, but monaros are heavy so I wouldn't want to lose down low (na anyway). I'd be interested to see if you gain against mine across the board...I don't have much valve overlap with 222-226/115+3. I'd go bigger next time, for no good reason other than vive la difference! If you are after the noise and power, I'm childish so wanted a choppy cam, then simply accept that your won't pass emmisons. Have to admit in some cases a cammed ls2 sounds awesome but so does a standard ls2 with a full wortec including headers. The most cost effective way to power is a charger, full stop. In my opinion, a cam is a compromise and will waste fuel. A supercharged Monaro can be had now for £15k and is on a different level from a cammed engine through the mid power range.Who wants to rev an ls2 to within a inch of its life - pointless! If that's what I wanted, I would buy a Porsche or similar. So, if anyone has a standard Monaro and is looking for more power, then surely you have to sell and wait for a charged one, the sums just don't add up.
