Right the spoiler is off and personally I'm happier with the look of the car

The spoiler does mask the clean boot lip, so I can understand your reason to remove it.

I guess you'll be getting some private messages asking how much you want for it now. hehe

Of course I couldn't encourage that sort of behaviour, I hear flea bay is a good source of Monaro parts angel

That looks much better mate, all you have to do now is take the 'chicken in a circle' Vauxhall badges off and replace them with Holden ones

Front bumper respray and boot "fixed" £600 as it needs welding to prevent the repair sagging and causing the holes to be visible in the future apparently. Anyone has similar experience with boot spoiler removal?

Have you considered getting a used boot lid either in the right colour or getting the whole thing painted? They're not that difficult to swap over from what I can see....

This would be my choice given that repair cost: http://www.maverickmancarbon.com/collections/front...

That is for the whole thing welded and painted mate plus the front bumper. I'm not sure given the scarcity of the colour how many spares are available. If anyone knows of a spare CV8 boot I would be very interested

That looks better! I would also leave the Vauxhall badges where they are, that's how it arrived in the U.K.

Fair point, I'm very happy with the look of it without the spoiler but not so happy with the estimate to repair bandit

By that reckoning you should have left your engine the way it was as "that's how it arrived in the U.K" banghead

He'd probably agree with you, in hindsight - but it seemed like a good idea at the time. wink
