They wont come up very often like this for sure! The VZ body panels its wearing are from a 2005/7 HSV Clubsport (which had the 6 litre LS2 fitted). As for the F.A.S.T "engine", the dealer must mean the FAST 92 intake manifold which has a cammed 5.7 LS1 underneath it.

I doubt he will get the asking price with all those lights on which mean it needs mapping properly. If its running mafless and showing a light, it can't have evn had a maf delete Map, and if it hasn't had that, it might not have been mapped at all after the cam and stall torque converter install? These items alone will need some considerable attention in the tune.

From the sound of it, the dealer knows nothing about these cars at all?

That was what I took from it - do your own survey, the seller's speil doesn't ring true.

Same here. Considering they say

"We have 20 years experience in the motor trade and all our cars are described accurately, we also except card payments."

my first thought was "No they're not" and my second was "It's 'accept' you idiot"

I guess it could be an easy fix, if you map yourself, but you have to wonder what other corners have been cut.

True, it has some oddities: VZ Clubsport parts on a VY, Monaro front seats (?), a Holden badge on the steering wheel, etc and it needs some work...

But, at the end of the day, it's under £7K For an HSV VY with a few choice parts on it. I can't remember the last time I saw one for sale.

Looks quite nice. As mentioned it looks a bit mismatched in parts and bits.

But not a bad buy if you can give it some time.

It wont be an HSV without a build number being quoted. My guess is that its a VY commy dressed up for a (Halloween?) party.

I thought that too Gareth. It's got an HSV dash cluster, so for a replica, they've put some effort in. Maybe the seller should be encouraged to show the HSV plate...

yes have to be careful. I think its maybe its a holden and not an HSV.

I was offered a 90s VS Maloo Clubsport last week. had every badge ins steering wheel and NS dash clubsport badges, seemd all okay. then realised it didn't have the clubsport seats and had no HSV build badge and checked chassis in aus and was a Holden
turned out the Ute was rebadged into an HSV look a like back in aus then imported and guy bought it here as an HSV. so he was had over and paid too much

can never be too careful wink

Then there's the HSV Z series for sale, with the more sought after V6. hehe

Not a HSV. pedals are wrong no bright trim on shifter, handbrake around stereo or on door handles. Wrong steering wheel no HSV build plate shown etc..
