I've just landed an assignment in Newbury, so will be commuting around 130-miles a day. There's no way I'll have a Monaro working by Tuesday (hoping they weren't joking when they said 'see you next Tuesday'), so I had to buy a car in a hurry.

I stopped off at the nearest car dealer (Sky Ford) to look at a 2013 Mondeo diesel that gets 68mpg combined cycle. Saw this (below), thought it was a laugh and bought it. Sixty in 6.7 and 47mpg. Limited run of 400-cars too. Brand new Fiesta ST200, if you can't tell.

They had two Mustangs, both 2.3 turbos. It was hard work resisting, but I'd set a budget (which I blew by £10K) and had a target for fuel economy (which I missed by 3mpg).

All I need now is a baseball cap to wear backwards. Init.

I love the way you say "a Monaro" not "the Monaro" as you have a choice of them to get finished

I see Ford have teamed up with Dulux for the new "Pastel Range" of paints to match your home. Or are they going to paint it before you collect it biggrin

Nice choice of hot hatch though
I know Granby liked his FIESTA ST

Yeah, too many broken cars and not enough time.

The colour looks much better in the flesh. My photos leave it looking like metallic silver. I like to think of it as a varnished primer biggrin

Not sure on the colour, and not a fan of 'ltd editions' that you can get off the shelf, but I reckon it will be a hoot. cool
