Anyone running a diff cooler ? I found my diff getting hot at a trackday today. After a while I could hear the rear diff sounding a bit noisey ,I'm running a Harrop sports diff cover and could feel the diff housing which was pretty hot. I'm after some info in what I will need.
The Harrop Diff cover does have spots for an oil cooler to be used with it. Look up what road race guys are using or the people in Australia. Thanks for the input guys, I'll do a bit of online research to see what I can find out.
Oil pump, oil cooler and pipework and I think that is about it.
Trackday was ace! Monsoon weather and lots of power, 3rd lap and I was heading off track for a skid about on the grass which was fun. Ute is a bit more of a handful than my nice nimbal Chevette was. Chevette would have been much faster. One thing I felt I or should I say I missed was a roll cage. Fishtailing up the straight at about 100 was good fun too and that was when I was thinking about cages. Once the track dried out it went well, did what I asked it to do handled really good, better than I thought it was going to.
