A close call - fuel line connection help!
Discussion
After doing the pub quiz last night, we jumped in the Ro to head home and as soon as I had started the engine there was a very strong smell of petrol in the car. I thought this was from the exhaust of the car in front of us, but after driving 10yds the revs kept dropping to less than 500rpm then it stalled. I pulled over, popped the bonnet and after removing the engine cover found that the rubber fuel line had slid off the connection with the alu fuel rail. Petrol was dripping down the engine block straight onto the exhaust manifold! Fortunately, the manifold was still cold so no flames. I pushed the rubber hose back on and managed to do the 10 miles home. The metal clip was there, but it was easy to push back on.
Can anyone tell me if it should be possible to push the rubber hose back onto the fuel rail? Or should this joint be pretty much immovable by hand?
any help much appreciated!

Hello yes I remember now!
The braided one is from Summit Racing it's not very expensive - I think Neil @ NWJ has a few but I'm not sure - probably best to get it changed though!
New Ro is good, but it's up for sale at the moment as I replaced it with another one, although that one has broke this week. Monaro ownership testing my patience to its limits this year!
