Mishimoto radiator owners...

...do you have chuff-all space between the fans and the lower coolant hose? I removed the air dams either end of the rad which were pushing it back, and bent the brackets on the coolant pipe running across the cross-member back as far as I could, and have about 6mm clearance. I expect to lose a couple of mm when the system is pressurised. I also pinched the channel the rubber donuts run in so all play is between the rad trunnions and the ID of the rubber donuts.

04 setup, but I assume that pipe is shared.

I couldn't reasonably see how there could be much more clearance, but thanks for confirmation I didn't mis-seat it. I'll keep an eye on it...but if it frets I think I'll get some blow-through SPALs.

fitted one to mine a few months ago, same clearance issues but being checking and no evidence of chaffing.

Had my mishimoto rad in for a while now and not had any chaffing, it is 'f'ing close though
