Happened up at Elvington yesterday. We ran the cars up the 2 mile straight there and the VXR had a best of 162.28mph in 5th before we ran out of runway.
Had 12 runs with slight pauses with no issues on brakes etc...
Ran with the Lotus Carlton. LC managed 158 but on telemetry they looked pretty level. On roll ons tho the VXR would kick a car length out , then you'd hear the LC's turbos wail in and it would pull back , pass the Monaro , next gear change VXR would kick ahead again , then ....repeat....
Ran it also with an 04 VXR. Roll on in 2nd gear the new VXR would immediately take 3 car lengths out of the old car and then gently pull away , gave up at 140.

You'll see road test reports from next week I believe.

I think the cars really need to be on the Autobahn with a 5 mile straight, not enough room at Bruntingthorpe either.

Nice to see that 12/13 years on the LC can still hold it's own. I know which I would rather have - both

LC for the weekend and VXR for terrorising weekday traffic. With family on the way, my Irmscher Omega will have to do for now.

Our VXR Twin Turbo installation should be ready for demo's from late May we hope.

Car arrives late March, running in then testing all of our nat asp mods before arrival of TT kit.

We might also fit twin side exit exhaust for the real V8 Supercars look.

Who can say no to 600+ BHP at the wheels

Could be the first car ever to do a wheelie... I guess you won't need to have to worry about the fuel consumption, cause think there could be a new measurement, and that is how far you can go on a set of tyres. 100 miles/set? Sounds like pretty good consumption to me.
