Want to test my driving skills, off the public highway.
Looking for open space, like an airfield / large Tarmac / paved area in or around Essex.
Not looking for a sprint, more the opportunity to have a couple of hours to thrash around on the limit without cracking into another object.
Happy to pay for the use etc.
Has anyone done similar or know who does this sort of stuff??
Tnx Boysie

The likes of a sprint or trackday really is the most practical option.

Maybe this sort of thing ?

This looks appropriate?

(They've updated their website, the main video used to be a Monaro sliding for miles around a circuit. If you look at the bottom in the 'our cars' you can see one lurking)

With the recent goings on around there I suspect this may get postponed.

Really can stretch the legs of your car at Marham.
Always found it a good day out and quite relaxed.
Normally open pit later in the day when things calm
down after the first few frantic sessions smile
Ideal for those a bit nervous about doing track days.
Happy days when me and my lad got to race each other
around the track.....blew up his Astra turbo 3/4 way down
the runway straight in front of me !

Just booked CarLimits at Northweald for 14th Sept., which seemed pretty good value compared to normal trackdays where you don't get tuition.

Belated advice n th car limits track day at nothing weald. Really goo day an learnt some goo stuff. Small group, Plenty of tuition an plenty of space to have fun.

On another topic - has anyone any got experience importing headers and performance cats? Or is the potential cost saving not really there after postage and duty? And where are best headers to be found? Tnx Boysie

p.s. Will post a couple of pics

Mine has a full Wortec system with headers and sports cats courtesy of a previous owner and Monkfish, great sound and car feels good although I have no experience of the stock system to compare against
