Monaro AP discs
Discussion
I'm betting they don't come in any cheaper than buying from Monkfish and you'll be buying from abroad.
You could try using Range Rover discs (from the 2004 shape). They are very similar and are meant to fit with little effort. Best of all they're a fraction of the price. I'll be trying this myself next time, so I need someone to do all the development work

I need a pair of AP Racing front discs ( just the discs , as they are bolt on to the bells ). Would any of you guys know the AP part numbers for these items and more importantly if there is supplier other than AP Racing ?
Cheers

Most companies will make discs...AP, Alcon, Brembo, Performance Friction...but all will carry similar prices. And TBH race discs for road use arent really teh best option.Cheers

Give Martin at Reyland a shout, he has a range of cheaper discs and will be able to supply some to suit.

yes - L322 Range Rover are a straight swap - I have been using them on mine for some time now.
diameter, thickness, offset, etc all pretty much spot-on. The centre spigot hole on the RR is slightly larger, so you can either dowel them to the hub or get a small spacer made.
best of all, they start from £32.50 in the aftermarket.

Hi Woody - Is it just the fronts, rears or both that work? Also, when I was looking into this, it looked like the discs were smaller in diameter. Is this the case and, if so, does it make a difference?
Thanks
I had a quick look earlier on eurocarparts. The ones that looked like they would fit were the rangerover sport with the 4.2 supercharged engine, that was the fronts, they were 360mm rather than 363mm that the AP's are. Thanks

Just fronts, I'm afraid.Thanks
I'm working on the rears, but the handbrake shoe size is a bit unusual
I use the 360mm discs - there's a drawing on the Brembo website if you want a look !
The "missing" 3mm is of no consequence as of course the caliper is still in the same place - there's full pad coverage

I have different wheels with a lot of gap round the brakes. Dont need it for stopping, it does that extremely well already, just looks.
If they work well, why add unsprung weight to the set up. That (UW)and extra rotating mass will detract from performance and handling.2Woody. Great info, thanks I will be trying that when it comes to changing. Dealers wont be best pleased though.
