Disastrous fortnight for the 'Ro, clutch started slipping last week, then yesterday after a short run out, all my power steering fluid started gushing out onto the drive when i got back! Hoped to use this years budget on improvements so this is a real kick in the balls. Looks like phoning the Fish and meeting up with my old friend Big Bill!!!!

Sorry to hear about the agro but if you need a new power steering cooler you can get an uprated one from Mishimoto cheaper than a standard replacement. Doesn't fix the problem but it might stop it ever happening again

Hope you get things sorted and all the parts are in stock.

I really struggled to get a High Pressure PAS hose a few months ago...

Whilst you're in there getting the clutch sorted, I would recommend Fitting an LS7 Clutch, a remote bleed hose and change the spigot bearing too (£50 part & Big Bill if it goes) and if you don't got it get a Rip-Shifter fitted too well worth it imho

My power steering cooler went with a bang a few years ago, no leaking beforehand, just went pop. It's probably just rusted through.

just another quick question, is it wise to pay the extra for the lighter aluminium flywheel kit when upgrading to the LS7 clutch?

I Didn't - was advised against it for some reason icqr bang per buck and stalling or something??? get a rip shifter instead if you have the cash Makes A BIG Difference

I'm told that speed4u will likely have the bits you need for these issues. PAS coolers are always an issue on these cars.

Many thanks to monkfish for sorting out all the issues on my monaro. got it back saturday fully serviced, new clutch new disc & pads, new power steering cooler, road response pack and a few more bits and bobs. then low and behold on the M40 on the way back i got a stone chip on the windscreen which has now turned into a massive crack halfway up the screen!! im bloody cursed! Anyone know if this is an easy fix? will a company like autoglass sort a car like this?

Yep most of the glass boys can sort it quickly.
I think WPUK might keep spares as do VX you might have to help a bit by ringing around. But the windscreen insurance will cover it with the usual no fault excess etc.
