Hi all,

Got these installed yesterday at Monkfish. Basically upgraded from the sport pac to the performance pac. Result is amazing! On loud mode the volume is up quite a bit but the type of sound is so much different. The wortec without the headers was great. Quite a screamer. Now with the headers the exhaust growls and is much deeper. Absolutely love it. Amazingly the quiet mode is still pretty quiet. Not too different than before which is ideal. Also had the auto gearbox re-mapped which is a nice touch, noticeably more aggressive gear changes.

All in all I'm even more excited about the car now. Anyone thinking of the headers/cats route just do it. I doubt you'll regret it. Thanks too to Monkfish. There were some installation issues yesterday but it all worked out in the end. Cheers chaps.

(Car is a VXR8 btw!!)

how you finding the car with the new headers? more responsive?,more awesomeness sounds?

The car is amazing. The sound is very different to the standard cat back. Anything beyond 3k revs just sounds plain angry. It is bloody loud too which was the main point for me. As for performance, it definitely feels a bit more responsive but the difference is slight tbh. I have not really had a chance to properly test this as the roads have been quite wet of late. Also the effect of the gearbox re-map gives an impression of the car feeling quicker. I think the sport pac upgrade, ie the catback and re map gives an appreciable performance upgrade that is quite noticeable from stock. The performance pac part imho is more about the noise which is bloody fab! Worth the extra 2,700 notes all day long! I would suggest though that the electric switch is almost essential if you drive the car at anti social hours, which I do regularly. Even at idle the volume is quite a bit louder than previously. Quiet mode is just the same as before really, maybe very slightly louder.

Sorry no idea what the wortec cats are. Did manage to get the car out today for a proper hoon. It's definitely more lively now. At the top end of 2nd and 3rd it's just addictive. Bonkers loud too. Lord knows what folk are thinking when you blast past them. Initial shock followed by a torrent of abuse no doubt!
