Time has come to spend some money on the body work of my VXR Monaro. The bonnet and bumper has lots of stone chips, and the lacquer has come off the drivers wing mirror. Can anyone recommend anyone decent in the Southampton area?

Not southampton but I can recommend Revive in Basingstoke. Reasonable pricing too.

If you want to see their paintwork i have access to two cars that have been painted by them

Ok thanks for that. I'll do some research. She's got to go to Basingstoke for the alloy wheels to be refurbished in my alloys. Cheers

I bought my VXR Monaro off a PH member who was on this forum. He was based near Portsmouth and recently had a front end respray done before i purchased the car. It was done to a very high standard as the paint looks fantastic.

If you like I can look through the paperwork and find out who he used?

Topless 360. That would be great if you could find out who did the paint work

That would be me then!
I used Banburys in Segensworth near Fareham; website here : http://dbsbanburys.co.uk/
They did a very good job, extremely professional and I highly recommend them.
A full front end respray for my Monaro VXR was around £1100.

Mike.

You could try Paling and May, they've done work for me and a few others on the South Coast forum (I think). They're in Hedge End.

So they removed the bonnet, wings and bumper; resprayed them - they said if they just did the bumper there might be a slight colour mismatch between original and new paint. As it turned out, you can't tell any difference between (say) the doors (original) and the front wings (resprayed). They had the car for five days. They are the people that do insurance jobs for JLR vehicles locally; I was impressed when the guy who did the quote was raving about my Monaro and seemed like he genuinely cared. Not the cheapest I suppose, but you often get what you pay for, I think.
Hope this helps.
Mike.
