So long HSV folks, and thanks

The VXR8 has been a fantastic all-rounder for the last 5+ years. Thanks to folks on here for the advice and guidance during this time.
The noise it made never got boring. Nor did the ability to dispatch overtakes with such ease
So what do you replace a spacious, massive-v8 powered, characterful feckin-hooligan with? Particularly when you still insist on a manual box. A question I've been asking myself for a rather long time now.....
I toyed with the idea of a manual gen-F. But they hold their value really well. Too well.
And too predictable? Too "samey"?
So I've always wanted to own something properly focussed. My wife's Disco4 currently performs 98% of family duties (rather superbly I should add), and with the sprogs getting older they're more often on trains with their mates than the back of the cars with their mates.
Step up Evora. Evora S "Sports Racer" to be precise.
The steering is epic. The way it changes direction is quite something. And with the supercharger it pulls hard from any rpm. The ride is ridiculous. Very firm with superb control, yet able to shrug off lumps and bumps like they're just not there. Obviously the 3.5 supercharged 6-pot doesn't have the sonic drama of the LS3, but once Lotus have fiddled appropriately the aurals of the Toyota V6 are waaay more exotic than the humble origins of the powerplant (as every review inevitably qualifies) might suggest.
