Not used R8 much due to other family issues. Used it last weekend and it was making a sort of supercharger whine. Sadly I don't have one!!
This morning it appears to be bleeding from between the radiator and grill with a ligh oily substance on the front plastic valence to both sides of centre.
I have not started it today, am I right in thinking only the oil cooler is in that space? Or any ideas please.
It's a 2009 ls3 R8 Auto.............

Thanks.

Does it have a p/s cooler? Oil leak and a whine can often be power steering. Check the fluids and see if any are low?

Should have said, wasn't there last week when I washed it and there is nothing on floor under it just either side of the centre of front spoiler thing and just a couple of splashes outside, so probably just begun and not yet lost much. Only did 6 miles last week.
Cheers

Red and sticky is PAS fluid, check the PAS cooler as it sits Infront of the radiator behind the front bumper so if it's leaking from the pipes at the connections it will drip onto the inside of the front bumper and then onto the floor like you've described.

Cheers I think that may be it then, do you know if it's easy to get at?

Very easy as its directly behind the grill at the bottom so you can do it from underneath, just be careful not to break it when you tighten the pipes back up because, as someone has already said they suffer with corrosion as they're right out the front in all the weather and they're alloy. If it turns out you need to replace the cooler then you can get an uprated mishimoto one cheaper than the factory one
