I've been talking with a bloke at work and he's come out with "How much power does your car make? Why don't you fit I.T.B's?"
What are the pros and cons of fitting i.t.b's. I know Stick has got them on his 454 and had them on his GTS and I'll be having a chat with him soon but does anyone else have an opinion.
This isn't a definite thing that I'm going to do but I am thinking about it.

A good quality setup will be in the £4k+ range. What are the pros and cons of fitting i.t.b's. I know Stick has got them on his 454 and had them on his GTS and I'll be having a chat with him soon but does anyone else have an opinion.

Unless it's well tuned, and spinning quite high rpm and/or with a biggish cam....really no point unless you want it for noise.
Well not so much no point...just very bad value for money.

Agree with Stevieturbo (though it'shard not to, most of the time).
It's an expensive route to a little extra power (per £), unless you have optimised the intake and exhaust routes and a Fast 102 is your restriction.
Leigh has a cammed ls3 and a 102 fast would work wellIt's an expensive route to a little extra power (per £), unless you have optimised the intake and exhaust routes and a Fast 102 is your restriction.

Google will tell you a fast on an LS3 is a waste of ££
Also LS3 is cam limited due to larger intake valves and less p2v. Though you are probably not anywhere near this limit at present..
I don't know the figures on the Monkfish Magic 2 cam with long tube headers and high flow cats. Also LS3 is cam limited due to larger intake valves and less p2v. Though you are probably not anywhere near this limit at present..
Looks like the cons outweigh the pros, cost against gains seems to be the main one. I've had a look at costs, Jenvey's are £2200 + vat airboxes are extra and are between £203 and £359, Harrop costs Aus$5940 then you pay shipping and tax.Not a massive amount I know then there is fitting and setting them up.
Also there is the problem of getting cool air to the intakes and moving the coil packs. I have no intention of changing the cam upping the rev limit or cutting a huge great hole in the bonnet.
The only pros it would seem are they look fantastic sound lovely and give you a bigger knob.

Just had a chat with Michael [Stick] as many know he has I.T.B's on his 454 and had them on his GTS. In his opinion it's not worth doing unless I fit a monster cam, so I wont be fitting I.T.B's.
Nearly forgot thanks to all for your opinions.
