Thanks for that Mik, i have seen the youtube vids of your car but its hard to judge how loud exhaust systems are on screen, the Wortec and Walkinshaw definiately sound too loud for my liking, the cat back Magnaflow does sound quieter.
I think the Wortec and Walkinshaw are far to expensive, the magnaflow is not cheap either for that matter.
My main concern is booming in the passenger compartment, i had a custom exhaust on my 2.8 Injection Capri years ago, great at first but after a couple of months the booming became unbearable to a point that i changed back to a standard system.
I was thinking of back boxes because the standard system is not loud enough but i dont want too loud just enough to be noticed.

Just back boxes, so the middle resonators were still fully functioning. Frankly, it seemed to be little different from just removing the rear boxes.
Thanks for that Araf, i thank i am swaying in the direction of keeping the standard system but i might go to a meet and listen to few before i make my final decision.Ian.
You cannot keep the standard system. It's ludicrously quiet. Painfully quiet. The oem system is a true "silencer". 
We all have differing definitions of "acceptable" but whilst the volume of my magnaflow does increase under high loads around 1700rpm, to be honest, I' could not describe it as "drone".
