A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a FAST intake with the billet fuel rails as well. I opted for the 92mm one simply because a supercharge is on the cars but I also didn't want to faff with stock unit just now so this was a nice compromise.

Removing the stock intake also revealed a split pipe which could potentially be related to my vacuum leak problem however that remains to be seen.

Here are some photos of the strip down and the new intake.

The strip down and the split pipe.

The new intake.

I just need to find out where my MAP sensor goes I think the port is on the rear but not sure what problems that will cause me as on my LS2 the port was initially on the front. I'll need to test the wire length. There is a LOT of surface preperation to be done before the new intake is installed, the heads and engine are covered in dust and dirt.

Sturdy put his MAP sensor on the front (ls2), mine's on the back (ls1). Back looks tidier if your wire reaches tongue out

Looking good smile

Have you spray painted the rocker covers as they look mint?

Should be just drill either hole and stick the sensor in it. I went for the front, sort of wish I'd gone back as it'd be cleaner looking. The cable will easily reach the back, as it reaches the front, and that's further away wink

Mine was a 102 just for reference.

yes If nothing else, it would have a better chance of resale, when the engine is 'charged.

Thank for confirming. Did you use any particular silver?
