Summit smile

Get the LS9/LSA gasket. Special construction to suit boost etc.

Anywhere that sells them really.

PWP might stock them now, but most likely will still be cheaper from the US.

Anything I've bought from the US lately, I've tried to find sellers using egay's global shipping program. It at least makes the potage aspect sensible.

eg...and usually adding more items, in this case 2 gaskets shipping price seems to stay same or similar.

You'll get postage for $30 or so if you arent in a hurry.

LS9's do seem to be better...but I cant see why you'd ever have issue with any of the OEM GM MLS gaskets. I havent.

The mls aren't so good on early engines and you may get leakage. MLS on later engines works well, check thicknesses.

Thanks all

I am running boost. Is the ls9 larger bore not a real issue on the gasket?

It is larger bore, but many have used it on small bore engines too. So whilst usually isnt isnt preferred...there are no proven reasons against it.

But the correct size gaskets also work and are cheaper than the LS9's...although neither are expensive anyway

Just had this conversation with MF, and they talked me out of reusing my cometics and into the OE gaskets...at this point I just want things to work first time!

Not sure if you actually mean re-using...even if MLS gaskets can technically be re-usable.

Just use GM, there is zero reason to use anything else and every reason to use original parts.

I actually meant re-using (with hylomar to prepare). Might be a bit redneck. Ordered OE ultimately.
