Hi All, I have trawled through many pages looking for exhaust advice but could not find what i want to know.
Maybe someone can direct me to or tell me what i need to know.
I want an exhaust that is loader then the stock item but not as loud as some of the Wortec and Walkinshaw systems i have heard on youtube, what i dont want is a raspy popping exhaust note just something that will give me a bigger smile then the stock item and wont scare the neighbours.

I have a Wortec on my Monaro and it's not as loud as I expected it to be (which is maybe a good thing).

I've heard a lot of people say that the Walkinshaw is the one to have on a VXR8 though. Not heard one in the flesh but from what I understand it's a much deeper tone than the Wortec and doesn't rasp quite as much which might suit your requirements.
Failing that, a Wortec set to quiet still rumbles quite a bit more than standard.

I have a full Walkinshaw system with headers and sport cats, but mine is permenantly set to 'quiet' - it has a nice deep burble, is neighbour friendly, but still has a nice snarl to it when you give it the beans. My car is an LS3 VXR8 Auto. smile

I had a Walkinshaw on mine. The biggst problem was that is droned between 1500 rpm and 1950 rpm. The revs typically in traffic, especially on a motorway around 65 to 75 mph. OK about 80 mph, but in South East I very often could not sustain that due to traffic.

I've now bought cut outs, but not fitted them yet (tut tut , had them ages)
