hi all thought id put up a lil post ,,today was the first day that i got a good chance to take my new babe oot for a wee spin,and a bit of a shake down,,,,the sun was out,,day off work yahhh
so heated her up,,shades on ,,loyd cole and the commotions playing,,,and off for a spin lol
i have to say straight off the bat im liking this auto gearbox,it just feels rite for this engine,,,give it a lil squirt and it feels nice and lazy /relaxed but pulling like a train,,,luv it,,,done about a 40 mile run out A roads and some back roads aswell,,have to say im quite smitten with this car,,,done everything i asked of her with plenty to spare,,however im a bit dissapointed with the exhaust sounds,very quiet id say,
its the standard system on her atm,,
ive watched a few youtube vids,,,magnaflow/wortec/walkingshaw systems,,,and i like them all lol,so i think thatll be my first port of call to upgrade the bazookas on her make her sound rite

well i aint no expert snowwolf,,,the last time i drove an auto was about ten years ago wen i was in oz,and that was a toyota something or other,and tbh i wasnt sure about buying a vxr8 with an auto rather than a manual,but now shes there deffo enjoying the way the auto drives and responds ect,for just crusing around its a top banana,,flicked it over and dropped a couple of cogs and bang on,,yup she,ll do for me lol
the standard exhaust sounds pants tho,,,other than that,,,very happy
cant make my mind up which system to go for,,i do like the wortec looks and soundtrack,,,but the walkie soundtrack floats ma boat aswell,,,

I had a Lexus sparer V8 years ago, loved the auto box, you can effortlessly pull away from lights leaving everything behind, I know you can do that in a manual, but not as effortlessly an big auto can do it, my vxr8 had a walky with kissing pipes and was a nice deep sound.

yup i can see me getting used to this auto very quickly,its even got me thinking that my next daily driver for work and commuting ect that i buy id might consider an auto,,and aye the walkingshaw system seems to have that deeper lower down tone,,where as the wortec has more of a raspie type burble,,lol,both sound awesome imo
oh god decisions decisions ,,looking forward to the meet in stirling in july,and get some ppls opinions ect,no doubt there will be a few different soundtracks to drool over,,,

I recommend
1. You get rid of the stoopid std exhaust system. It's criminal.
2. You take a few hours heading North. VXR8's love the highlands.

agreed!,soon as ive put enough dollars together the std pea-shooters are getting ditched
