Hi, I have a standard diff in an 04 Monaro, I have noticed that occasionally when pulling away from a standing start the rear of the car pulses, its not wheel spinning or anything stupid like that, I'm not putting huge force through it, as soon as I'm up to about 15 miles an hour it goes. Can anyone tell me what might be causing it?
cheers Rob

Do you get the 'low traction' message too?

Can be to do with the rear ABS sensors needing shimming, see thread below:

Is it needing a fluid change plus some modifier , or a pedders diff insert to stop it bumping around ?

No messages about traction at all. The receipts show all fluids were done at the end of 2014, would some modifier stuff help it. I guess changing them is the first step.

Sounds fairly normal.

Mine will do it if I come to a stop after a run on the motorway.

Fluid was changed a while ago, it's less frequent now but still happens.

Unless it's does it when cold it should just be a matter of adding some friction modifier.

I remember my monaro having a sort of cut out if the engine was not up to temperature, it would cut the engine in and out
