Monaro Factory Re-Call fuel pipe fire.

Should the rubber fuel pipe being chaffed through by the plastic rocker-cover clam-shell leading to fire be made a Factory Re-Call item?

Are they the correct covers, then if so I'd agree with some sort of an announcement.

Checked mine last week and it's damaged like the rest of them.

I'm surprised it wasn't a recall already to be honest, can't see them doing it now though.

These cars have plenty of recall-worthy problems, but GM doesn't give a rat's ass about them, and the government [whether USA or UK] gets paid to look the other way.

Can someone point me in the right direction of the fuel pipe please?

Need to check this out as the cover is still on my LS1 VXR

If you look to the top right of the engine cover when looking into the engine bay from the front there should be a rubber hose that runs underneath. It'll have a little sticker on it saying flammable and with a little petrol symbol.

Mine was well worn, but was only the outer sheath not the fuel hose itself.
