This is being arranged by our friends on VXRO - link below.

I'm going along with moif. Only 2 places left. Anyone else interested?

With it being a hub dyno the rwhp should be pretty accurate...

I used their dyno a couple of times many many years ago...I'd say it reads more than a little optimistic.

They do have a very nice dyno cell and installation though.

Not sure on the abilitis of the new staff though since they changed a few years ago....how they supposedly mapped another PH's members turbo V6 car on a Haltech defied belief. They clearly had no clue what they were doing.

But just doing dyno runs, it should be a fun day.

No, it will give you a hub reading. RWHP includes losses from the tyres, and also between the tyres and the rollers, so will always be lower than a hub dyno.

Still, when you're comparing like with like, it's as good as any other, and as a fun day out, any dyno is hard to beat. biggrin

I'd say the Dynapack would read same as a Dynojet...nice and high for those who want bigger numbers.

Fair point, so I should expect this figure to read higher than the wheel hp figure from any other dyno?

Still will be interesting to see what they estimate my fly hp to be.

Yes, your R-hub-HP will be higher than the RWHP on a normal dyno.

Or your PUB-HP will read whatever you want it to read....

And what's a normal dyno given they'll all read different ?

Never worry about the numbers, definitely do not try and compare them to elsewhere....just compare results from each other on the day....and bonnet closed of course smile

Indeed, the only time i ran my maloo on a hub dyno, it gained 55bhp at the fly smile

Ahhh...but should never try and guesstimate where it isnt measured. Same with roller dynos...or any dyno.

Tuning tool only...or just for the craic.

Big dyno numbers dont always make fast cars.

All I'm in this for is a bit of fun and some nice pub numbers to shout about. Nothing like a nice printed graph to back up my boast of xxx bhp biggrin

On a serious side though, some years ago I do remember a dyno day alerting me to the fact that my engine was running very lean. Re-map fixed it and no damage done, but if it had continued to go un-noticed then it might have been a different story.
