Would definitely need more than an exhaust an a remap on an LS2 to make those numbers. Wonder what other mods have been done if the figures are true.

My LS2 VXR seems to give good figures on dynos. I've always been a bit skeptical if I'm honest, I don't want to be suckered in by the slightly egocentric idea that I've "got a good one", and it's always hard to get a decent comparison as I've not made it to a SRR forum day yet.

About the best comparison I've managed was doing a back to back run with a stock 5.7 VXR on a dyno dynamics roller, that at least negated as many variables as possible really. The stock 5.7 VXR made 299rwhp and mine made 388rwhp. That does seem like rather a lot as pub figures would thus be ~470 like this one...

Engine mods wise, just simple stuff, OTRCAI, FAST 102, AAS headers, extremely free flowing cats and a Wortec cat back then some (very basic) mapping by myself with EFI Live.

Straight away you add ORTCAI, Fast 102, and although it mentioned 'zorst, did not necessarily suggest headers and cats.
(sounds like a nice set up btw!)

The ad did mention wortec headers when it mentioned the 'zorst, but I agree, just exhaust system and a remap is generally accepted to net around 430bhp, so where he's found the extra 40 who knows!

Putting the FAST102 on mine made a noticeable seat of the pants difference before I even mapped it, although you soon get used to it of course hehe It's not a bad set-up, I've been somewhat lacklustre with the tuning recently, I've removed the MAF and have a wideband fitted now (well, I did, then I killed a sensor, and haven't fitted the replacement yet) so I'm actually finally in a position to get it dialled in nicely and I just haven't got round to it frown

Would be great this year to invest some real time getting the fuelling properly sorted out at least smile

Thats got to be bhp figures and even then would have to have all the accompanying n/a mods with a healthy cam

A reasonable cam could get those figures

Not really if refering to pub numbers...

A cam, headers, exhaust and mild air inlet mods will see pub
Numbers circa 500 horses without a whiff of persil or washing machine partsbiggrin

Hello I am new to the forum and just bought the monaro vxr that you are all talking about, the 474bhp,I've looked at the history of the car and as far as I can see it has had a k&n air filter, long tubular headers, cat back switchable wortec exhaust and a remap.not had a good look around the car yet as just got it but will do soon.

I called about this car when I was looking, seems like it was owned by someone who knew his stuff and was into professional drag racing IIRC. I'm sure it will be a good car with only the best parts.

Hi, I agree the bhp figure is optimistic I did ask that to be left out the ad but the seller found the dyno sheet.

It has been a good car over the last five or six years and I was genuinely sad to see it go, a couple of weeks before it was sold I was considering putting it back on the road for the summer.

Hope Stazz007 enjoys it as much as I did.
