Slow death of a 6 litre

Monaro Lydden
Assumed this must be some stter, but no - still Mot'd 2015 and only 29k miles to boot.
Anyone know who's it was? Could be Cat C or D of course.

In terms of how much money people are throwing at drift builds these days that monaro is peanuts
Having had a competition spec car previously the monaro is at a massive disadvantage to everything else
Yeah I understand that. I've had a look close and personal at Mad Mike Whiddett's RX7, and the awesome engineering in Ken Blocks 4wd mustang.Having had a competition spec car previously the monaro is at a massive disadvantage to everything else
However, are you sure that applies to Lydden Hill 'drift bash?' Alternative viewpoint
I think there might be a shady v8 m3, but the rest looks like utter tat. Still a shame to kill a monaro this way. It's got a good engine and a strong gearbox, but it's not a drift car.

It's the perfect drift car if you want an LS but don't want the hassle of putting one in a Silvia. However, are you sure that applies to Lydden Hill 'drift bash?' Alternative viewpoint

Drifting is awesome fun, did it for a long time
Problem is it looks mega pikie to most people and the venues available are limited and a lot are actually pretty crap
Lydden is good as is driftland and Teesside.
Other then that it's very limited and if you live in the south it's a long drive!

You leave Lydden alone. However, are you sure that applies to Lydden Hill 'drift bash?' Alternative viewpoint

They have a round of the British Drift Championship next weekend, and a few times each year will have drift days, where people can practice or learn a bit without being in a competition.
Oh, I don't understand drifting either.

I have him on Facebook, his name is Tom Yates.Assumed this must be some stter, but no - still Mot'd 2015 and only 29k miles to boot.

I have him on fb too, it never ceases to surprise me he uses it for drifting, even if just because of the cost of bumpers!
I can only assume he has made some fibreglass moulds.
If we're honest, he's probably the only person in the UK using it like the Aussies do, although they do it in a simpler fashion...
A 'Powerskid' being a simple matter of standing start, wheel spin, do not touch the brakes, longest skid wins
https://youtu.be/Ct5p12qUMLk?t=34s
Not to be confused with a 'Powercruise' which is basically a track day where you have to try REALLY hard to get told off
Here's a sophisticated type in his SS. It does look rather a lot of fun to be honest...
