I shall need my LS1 mapping soon - who is best ?

and who is best in the North ?

Its an otherwise standard UK GTS fitted with LS1, receiving cam, heads, inlet and headers in the next couple of weeks.

Here's a thread from Yanayaya struggling with the same. Travel may be the best option depending on your circumstances.

What's the cam spec? Getting the idle transitions correct is likely to be more difficult than getting the WOT dyno pull correct.

John Sleath will put it on a rolling road and create a bespoke map for your car. He's based just outside of Doncaster.

I fear John Sleath favours a high idle, but that is an easy life tuning-wise.

I have Comp Cams 54-426-11, which is :-

222/224 @50thou

566/568 lift

or 28-68-25-73 in old money

Looks safe, no real valve overlap.

its a daily-driver, with occasional track-day use. currently dyno'd at 380 and looking to get up to 440 or thereabouts.

But an even torque spread is vastly more important than peak numbers. Its pretty mush the fastest thing on track already

I should add that it's already got headers and a cat-less 3" exhaust system on it. And the obligatory cold air pick-up

I would seriously consider travelling down south to find someone who can map it properly. I've used someone up north (may have been mentioned already) and the results are a lot less than perfect. Substandard springs to mind. Perhaps email me if you want more info.

Try getting in touch with Richard Ingram - he will be able to assist.

I'd second Richard Ingram to :-) He's always busy but will give you a safe reliable tune. He's Ringram on here or you'll find him as the EFI Live agent for the UK.
