In the process of getting my Monaro sorted I've been looking into replacing the fuel and brake lines as they're heavily corroded.

Has anyone ever done their fuel pipes? It looks like it goes through the bulkhead - is it possible to get to it without taking the interior out??

On the older Monaros it appears to be under the car the whole way , if it's got it's tank in the boot I expect more of a fiddle I think quite a few posted about this plus one post was were it was done at a sensible price don't know if the garage was any where near you ?

Mines in the process if not complete of having this done. My tank is in the boot and if I remember correctly you have to drop the rear sub frame, plus all the pipes run through a box section under the car.

Hi
Do the pipes enter the box section undercthecdrivers seat?
I went to look at one and as I recall the pipes looked rust by a box section under the drivers seat. (Wish I'd took a picture!!)
Thanks
Ed

They do run along the drivers side which go under the drivers seat next to the prop shaft

I had my Brake and Fuel Lines on my CV8 done at MF,They had to drop of the rear sub-frame to do this, the rubber grommits used for anti vibration trap water,so if the Lines look bad they will be even more corroded where they pass through the rubber, now replaced with Copper upgrade with sealant inside rubber to stop ingress of water, another job well done by Monkfish

Could I be cheeky and ask approx how much to do this job, if I buy one that needs them doing, I'd prefer it be done right!

Thanks

Can you please call Roger or Andy at Monkfish for a qoute,i had the subframe replaced and a new rear response pack at the same time,i think the Brake and Fuel line replacement came in under a grand with the Dreaded VAT,but please check,as far as i know all Monaros will need this upgrade at some time to pass the MOT Test, the Alloy used in the Manufacturing process is not designed for Salt and Winter's,the Rubber mounting's are about every 300 to 450mm,the Lines were very corroded when the rubber mount was removed,i tried to bend the brake line and it snapped in half were the mount had been, brake failure or your pride and Joy discharging your fuel below the Ro is not a nice thought

Many thanks for the help all. I've since had a better look and they do indeed go under the car. I must've been looking at it wrong the other day because I remember thinking 'damn that looks like a pain to replace'. One appears to be for the EVAP system and the other one is the proper fuel line.
