Vxr8 Ls2 supercharged. Getting a squeak which goes away when the engine has warmed up properly. Is it a belt? Pulley? The air con belt keeps slipping off (need the double pulley mod) and thought it might of been that but I've completely took that belt off and the noise is still there. Sounds to me like belt in grooves, try spraying belt dressing. If that fails try sprying WD40 to center of belt tensioner pully, see which stops it squeeling then go from there.

What is the mileage on the car? best to change the pulleys, they do wear out and have been known to fail and take the rad out, I would call Monkfish and order them up, if your ok with spanners its a job that can be done or get your local mechanic or MF to change them.

I had similar a few months back. No squeak once engine had warmed up,

It seemed to be coming from the pulley for the water pump on the top right. Protected the belts from overspray and skooshed (technical term) dry PTFE lube behind and in front of the centre. Squeaking disapeared and hasn't returned.

Milage is 94k. I will try spraying the pulleys with wd40. Where abouts on the pulley? Where the centre bolt is

Which pulley would it more likely to be? Or is it just a case of changing them all?

Probably be fine for now but get them all changed with your mileage, preventative maintenance is always good and quite a cheap bit of maintenance to do smile

I would suggest getting them all done... yes
I had this on my Monaro with only 25K on the clock... WD40 would tend to last about 2 weeks
Found that it wasn't one particular pulley but a combination of 3...

Also do not spray WD40 on it as I was told it can make the belt slip even more
