The Monaro key fob opens and closes the car but when I put the key in the immobiliser sign shows on the dash , if I push the open button on the fob at least the car starts , I know that issue is key related don't know why ? The brake warning light is some times going on , abs light is not on and fluid is not low , I'm not sure if the handbrake warning sensor is the problem as has not driven for a while I leave it with handbrake off when it's parked up , plus Monaro needed a new battery , the next problem engine light on on the Maloo and no TC , that I've found was a broken ht lead , so MF are sending out a set not there fault but they are not cheap and you can't be single leads , plus to add more to it my supporting garden wall had fallen down , roll on midnight for no more bad luck , any one had any of the above issues re key or brake light on I think it's handbrake or any other related issues ?

Should of asked on here about the HT leads, I could of given you a magnacore one for free as I broke one so had to buy a complete set, I now have 7 spare working ones.

From memory you can buy single Magnecor leads you need to contact them directly as I broke one of mine a while ago and got another set through.

Cheers for the offers , a quick delivery from MF seems to have saved the day I have a full set now , not sure on the key fob or brake warning issue , I did unscrew to repaint the Monaro clutch reservoir bracket but don't see why that would change things and put an occasional light on ? to add to that crap day found out the old man has cancer , but as they say chin up ... Sort of lol

Monaro appears repaired , I have put the new leads on the ls3 but i still have an engine management light coming on , I don't know if I still have a fault or does it need resetting , I don't know if the ht lead failure caused other issues , the lead failed and was sparking onto the manifold would that kill the coil ? Or cause other problems ? I have no code reader at the moment

It's worth mentioning check your ht leads two broke very easily when removed , car has only done 25 k miles and is effectively built 2010 so I'm surprised how they broke so easily

The immobiliser & brake warning issues could well be battery related - control modules throw out all sorts of errors if they don't get the correct voltage.
