Got an annoying issue with the DRL's on my E3.

They keep flashing on & off. At a recent meet it was mentioned could be the relay. Anyone got any idea where this said relay lives.

Ta in advance of having to use the muppets aka Pentagon.

I have a possible issue with the DRLs on mine and Wakinshaw are looking into it
Ultimately all such queries are likely to end up with them so might as well cut out the middle man

Out of interest, if it is bright daylight, do your DRLs come on automatically or do the full dipped beam lights come on and you have to turn the switch to go to DRL only?

On mine, the relay is under the bonnet just behind the front cowling, and conveniently has a sticker labelled "DRL" on it smile

But as already mentioned, just go straight to WP...

Cheers Paul. I'll check it out.

Regarding when they come on. Tey are on all the time except for when the lighting sensor decides its dark enough for dipped lamps, so then they go off. I'm assuming it's the norm. Didn't know you could maybe turn them off.

Sorry I explained that badly - I don't think that you can turn them off

My light sensor always puts the dipped beam on no matter what so you have to switch them off if you just want the DRLs

Mine DLR lights are on when the light sensor determines its daylight and the dipped beam is off. The DLR lights then go off when the light sensor determines it's getting dark and it switches the dipped beam on.

Alternatively, if I use the manual control knob, the DLR lights stay on when the dipped beam is off, and also when the side lights are just switched on. But the DLR lights go off them the dipped beam is switched on.

Basically, the DLR lights on mine do the exact opposite to my dipped beam, whether by way of the auto-light sensor or by way of using the manual control knob.

DRL's from Walkinshaw are around £400 each iirc, I sourced a pair from OZ, exact same units but without HSV stamped on them cheaper landed, fitted no probs.

It is more likely a connection/ wiring issue as both flash at the same time.
