Stability/traction control issue
Discussion
Hey guys,
My '07 LS2 has developed a very annoying issue!
The stability control keep turning itself off, which means I get three "bings" and a warning in the dash.
This keeps happening! It used to happen from time to time, very rarely and on bumpy roads etc, but now it's too frequent to ignore.
Just drove a 15 mile, about 25 mins driving trip and it literally binged at me at least 15 times!
Anyone had a similar issue and can point me in the right direction? Thanks all

I doubt it will be much of a problem (hopefully) always good to buy a cheap code reader like the MAC ones on the europarts web site, they will usually let you know the simple problems that pop up.
Plugs and leads problems can make this happen, when were they last changed? ABS sensors and O2 sensors also quite common.

When it was serviced did they Change the leads and the plugs ? More often than not the plugs get changed and not the leads, just worth making sure the leads were changed, leads do not like to be pulled about.

Thanks guys,
I dont get any other errors or ABS warnings, but the sensor kinda makes sence. IM gyuessing its a sealed unit with the wheel bearing? Code reader it is!!
Its been serviced with last month, so confident there is no plug or lead issues as these are new.
Thanks all

Ah will be watching this with interest... my LS2 Monaro has been doing this for about a year now. Used to only happen very infrequently when absolutely nailing it, but happens all the time under reasonably exciting levels of acceleration.
I figured it must be a sensor, and losing traction control is no major but the bings do start to get annoying. That and the wife constantly going 'is there something wrong with the car? Are we all going to die' or something like that...

Thanks for all the replies guys! I'll check them all out.

Take the engine cover off and check the connections I had the same problem, down to vibration and a loose connection
Can anyone let me know where these connections might be? No engine cover as its S/C.Thanks all

You're describing exactly what I get on my '05 CV8.I figured it must be a sensor, and losing traction control is no major but the bings do start to get annoying. That and the wife constantly going 'is there something wrong with the car? Are we all going to die' or something like that...
There's a thread about the 2 rear ABS sensors air-gap to the rear drive-shaft reluctors being too small (by about 0.5 to 1.0 mm, should be 1.5mm).
I've tried removing the ABS sensors so I can shim them to increase the air-gap but they won't budge. The sensors being seized is a known issue.

Thank you for the info - greatly appreciated. Any idea on cost to fix? (sorry Netstar1 for the highjack!)There's a thread about the 2 rear ABS sensors air-gap to the rear drive-shaft reluctors being too small (by about 0.5 to 1.0 mm, should be 1.5mm).

Seems like this is the issue. None felt like they were loose, but pushed them all home anyway to be sure and the issue stopped for a whole 50 mile drive. It binged once when I was on the last mile. Must have worked its way loose again due to vibration.Going to disconnect them all, clean the contacts and hopefully that should solve the issue.
Thanks everyone for your input.
