Hi,

Ive had these fitted for about 2.5 years and have done less than 5,000 miles on these. Yesterday i head a big bang as i was driving. I've looked at the car today and the back on one side is a good 2-3" lower. Looking at the spring, abit of it is missing!

I know im not alone with these snapping, can you just get the springs on there own?

Thanks

If you don't get any joy then I maybe able to help. Might be a bit of a ball ache depending on design and spring rate but I'll try if you get stuck smile

If not Pedders, who else to use? (That's readily available and easy for someone to set up over here)

I'm still on stock springs and dampers, and I want to replace it all with a Pedders suspension kit.
If it's not up to the job, then what is?

Do you know the number on the Spring ? I have one in the garage you can have, just read yours is a rear, the one I have is the front so will not fit.

I had a set of these on my old CV8 and never had any issues and it was a daily driver. At the end of the day you can break a coil Spring on any car.

I've had them on my cv8 for a number of years other than a firm ride no issues , an unfortunate break of a spring but I'm thinking it's rare

I believe Pedders are a totally different Australian company. Monroe parts are available in Australia, but I'm not sure if they are manufactured there.

People used to say Pedders bits were made by Monroe - I don't know if this was limited to conventional stuff, or if it's still true.

I hope Mf won't mind me saying that I have never seen anything coming from Monroe, for Pedders.

That was a good read. A little one-sided, and the De Rosa incident makes me wonder if there was more to the failed business, that is being glossed over.

I don't recognise any of it, but maybe that's because it happened 13 years ago.

Thought pedders were made by the same company who make BC stuff? I mean the specs are virtually identical, an they look the same apart from the colour too. I imagine there is different valving etc. Just thought they came from the same factory though.

Apart from the supercars which seem to be different spec wise that is.
