Took the Monaro out for a little cruise this morning. First time I've driven it since October and I'd forgotten just how woeful the brakes are!

It's going in for a service soon and I think I'll get some new discs and pads fitted, at least on the front.

Any recommendations?

Odd that these are 320mm discs, but the .monkfish website says 330mm. Which is right?

I thought the 6.0 vxr were 330mm front and 315mm rear which are the ones I've retrofitted to my CV8

Are the EBCs better than DBA discs and performance friction pads then?

On the EBC site they have front disc and yellow pad sets for £450ish.

Monkfish have DBA discs and performance friction pads for about £500ish.

Any particular reason to go for one over the other?

Probably about the same but don't know scratchchin as said I have the cv8 with the turbo grooved all round and yellow pads and they work very well also with the yellow there don't seem to be lots of brake dust on the wheels

I have the 330mm EBC which aren't grooved, no real complaints when fitted with EBC red stuff pads. I only use it on the roads (no track days etc.) and it's more than capable for my stopping requirements.

I wonder why they dont do super groove for the VXR discs, surely its cost effective for EBC to do them.

Any one from EBC out there to comment?
