Last year I had my shift light turned on and the start up logo changed to HSV on my instrument cluster (04 CV8) by a member on here that I can't get hold of anymore. I've now had heads, cam, inlet and throttle body done and it now revs to 7000rpm so was looking for someone who can either turn the shift light off or adjust it to 6800rpm as its a little disconcerting revving an engine I've just spent thousands of pounds on through the shift light! I'm in Kent if anyone can help. Thanks in advance

Off topic, but I saw the boxes of bits pre-fitment and was insanely jealous, now trying to harness fundage...... Is it a massive difference to driving? Sound good?

There's a few that have the software, IIRC.

SturdyHSV, Foxdie, the ferret82.

Sounds like you are referring to vzclustermod - I've got the cable too, and it's easily-enough obtained/made (thread on ls1gto).

blue666 - completely different animal with a cam smile

Yes, and thinking about it, doesn't Medway Monaro have one too?

Yes I do. Although I don't have the FAST/TB/rockers....yet.

As Mud said......totally different animal. It's got the Monkfish 2 cam so it drives as normal to 4000rpm then it goes fcensoreding mental. It pulls like a train all the way to 7000rpm and pulls in 4th like it did in 3rd previously. As for the noise, it's not that it's louder as such, it's just got a different sound to it now, I'm running AAS headers through sports cats and centre boxes with no back box and it's got a deep rumble and sounds cammed on tick over and pops and farts on the over run when backing off the throttle.

Just reading that at work (thankfully sit in the corner), having a silent chuckle to myself - great analogy thanks. Is it all mapped as well now? Did Wortec come out and do it? Sorry for all the Q's but really tempted on going this route myself rather than S/C

Yeah all mapped by Wortec, all work done by Neil (NWJ) it's also had an LS7 clutch conversion whilst it was there (with easy bleed) as the original clutch couldn't cope with the power. When I can work out how to do it I'll post a video of it running, but if I remember correctly from past posts you're only down the road from me in Cuxton area in the old chalk pit aren't you? Also as far as going the S/C route, I spoke to Neil about this and he reliably informs me that the CV8's gearbox, prop shaft and diff can only take up to about 500bhp so if you go the S/C route you'll need a VXR8 gearbox, a VXR Monaro prop shaft (considerably thicker) and diff so the price goes up quite considerably AFTER the cost of the S/C kit which is about £7500 from memory. Talk to James Wilson on here about S/C route as his CV8 has a S/C, or talk to Neil (NWJ) as James' car is down there now
